Lawton Public School parents will have the ability to track their child’s bus in real-time starting this August. Board of Education members approved the purchase of the SafeStop App powered by Zonar in February 2019.
\r\nThis downloadable app (SafeStop) is an additional feature that the LPS Transportation department added to enhance its services to both parents and students. SafeStop allows parents to see the location of their child’s bus, receive notifications for expected time of arrival for the bus and improved communication from the Transportation department to include notices of delays.
\r\n“(Parents) will be able to log in and see where a bus is 30 minutes before and 30 minutes after,” said Trae Koch, LPS Transportation director. “It will be more efficient for our department and give parents peace of mind.”
\r\nSafeStop will go live for the district August 1, 2019. In order to use the App, parents will have to register. For instructions, please click the file below.\r\n
